IAN GRAHAM, Founder CMHI and Director Emeritus, has drawn and photographed monuments in the jungles of Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize since 1958.

 

BARBARA FASH, Director, is an artist who brings thirty years of scholarly field research, artistic experience, and museum practice to the Program. Since 1977 she has worked at the site of Copan, Honduras, with a focus on archaeological illustration, sculpture recording, analysis, and conservation. She designed and implemented the exhibits for the on-site Sculpture Museum highlighting the work of the Copan Mosaics Project, which she co-directs with William Fash (http://www.peabody.harvard.edu/profiles/ ).

 

PETER MATHEWS. A leading Maya epigrapher and CMHI artist, Professor and ARC Senior Research Fellow Professor of Archaeology at La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia and ARC Program Coordinator. Peabody Museum, CHMI Associate Director 1973-1989.


DAVID STUART, A leading Maya epigrapher and CMHI artist, Linda and David Schele Professor of Mesoamerican Art and Writing in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas, Austin, TX. Peabody Museum, Bartlett Curator of Maya Inscriptions, 1993-2004.

 

STEPHEN HOUSTON, A leading Maya epigrapher and archaeologist, Dupee Family Professor of Social Science / Professor of Archaeology, Brown University, Providence, RI.

 

SIMON MARTIN, Artist and a leading Maya epigrapher, Research Specialist, University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Philadelphia, PA.

 

OSWALDO CHINCHILLA, Archaeologist and CMHI artist, Director of the Popol Vuh Museum, at Francisco Marroquin University, Guatemala, Associate Professor of History at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala and Director, Cotzumalhuapa Archaeological Project.
