HOLDINGS BY AREA The museum's ethnographic materials document historical cultures of North America, especially Northwestern, Californian, Southwestern, Plains, Southeastern, Northeastern and Subarctic peoples. Central American, Amazonian, Siberian and Southeast Asian peoples are also represented. The Peabody is also renowned for its African and Oceanic collections.
