Founded in 1866, the Peabody Museum is one of the oldest museums in the world devoted to anthropology and houses one of the most comprehensive records of human cultural history in the Western Hemisphere.

The Peabody Museum:

  • allows faculty and students to draw upon the collections to enrich classes and research; and
  • serves a wide public audience through educational programs developed in collaboration with Harvard’s Museum of Natural History, the Peabody also serves a wide public audience.
