Preventive Care Programs

Carved wood vessel affected by wood-boring pests. The circular light areas are flight holes of the adult beetles.

Conservators collaborate with Museum staff in developing preventive care programs. Current programs include environmental monitoring, collections rehousing efforts, collection condition assessments, emergency preparedness, and Integrated Pest Management.
