School & Group Programs (K-12)

Classes

Programs are sixty to ninety minutes. Plan to arrive thirty minutes before your scheduled class for orientation. Fee: $180/class, thirty students maximum. See Quick Program Chart for details.

Self-Guided Exploration

Exploration includes a fifteen-minute orientation. Allow two hours to explore. K–12: $5 per student up to 18 years old. Admission to the Peabody Museum includes admission to the adjoining Harvard Museum of Natural History. See Quick Program Chart for details.

Programs

  • Archaeology Month Programs (October)—Forty-five minutes each. Free with Museum group admission. Twenty students maximum. Reservations by telephone only at 617-495-3216.

Reserve a Program

Reservations are required for Classes, Programs, and Self-Guided Exploration. One chaperone is required for every five students and is admitted free for all K–12 group programs. Be sure to reserve lunch space in our Education Classroom.

When your visit is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation sheet with fee information; directions and bus parking information; Teacher Guide with Massachusetts curriculum frameworks correlations, vocabulary, resources, and in-school activities; Exhibit Extras Guide related to your program topic; Chaperone Guide; Gallery Hunt; Planning Guide and Check List.
