PHOTOGRAPHIC FEE SCHEDULE
This fee schedule covers reproduction costs only for images held at the Peabody Museum, Harvard University. Fees are subject to change at any time.
Rights and Reproductions for Peabody Museum photographs are negotiated separately. Please see the Right and Reproductions fee schedule for more information.
Procedure:
Pre-payment is required.
A completed photographic order form is required. Please list negative or print numbers on this form. An invoice from the Peabody Museum will be mailed for each photographic order. When possible, attach a photocopy of the requested item(s) and note the credit lines, title, author, and date of the publication.Please allow 4-6 workweeks for processing. Note any publication deadlines.
Prints:
Black and White Prints from existing images: 8'x10' $20.00 each Color Prints from existing 35 mm slides or 4x5 transparencies: 8'x10' $30.00 each *Negative: $20.00 each *If a print does not have a negative, one will be generated. Negatives remain the property of the Peabody Museum.
Slides:
35mm slides $20.00 each Slides are for personal or educational use only. Digital Images:
Digital file of existing image $15.00 each Peabody standards are a digital TIF image scanned at no less than 1600ppi, approximately 100 megabytes in size, made to order on CD-ROM. *New Photography Fees:
If the material requested is not available, new photography is required and will be scheduled upon consultation with the requestor. Please allow up to three additional workweeks from receipt of payment to complete the order. This fee is in addition to any material or use fees.
In-House Photographic Studio Time $100 minimum Conservator or curator time $45 per hour minimum
*New Photography Fees include:
- Set up time for photography of requested three-dimensional objects.
- Retrieval of an object from storage or installation.
- Material costs if color is required for black and white works of art.
