We continue to monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and prioritize the safety of our visitors, staff, students, and volunteers. In the interest of reducing the number of people on campus and slowing the opportunity for transmission, the university museums are closing to the public, at the end of business on Thursday, March 12 until further notice. All public programs, classes, and events have been canceled. Over the next few weeks we will be assessing the situation and reviewing options for when we will be able to re-open to the public.
Celebrate the glamour, labor, and discoveries of archaeology at Harvard. Join Harvard student archaeologists in the museum galleries as they share their experience from excavations around
the world and across time. Explore what archaeologists do and examine artifacts from the teaching collection. Make a visit behind the scenes to the Zooarchaeology lab that helps scientists identify animal bones. Hands-on activities will be available for all ages. Activities are spread across both the Peabody Museum and the Harvard Semitic Museum.
Regular museum admission rates apply. Presented by the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology and the Harvard Semitic Museum. 11 Divinity Avenue. Free event parking at the 52 Oxford Street Garage.
