LOCATIONS This panel has been assembled on paper from three items catalogued initially by the MAF as Fragments 8, 37, and 96. But because Peter Mathews identified them later as fitting fragments of a single sculpture, they are hereby assigned an unused monument number (see Becquelin and Taladoire 1990, p. 1689). Fragments 8 and 37 (the left- and right-hand fragments) were found among rubble on Structure E5-8, and Fragment 96 (the large, central element) was found on the same terrace between Structures E5-17 and E5-18.
CONDITION Fragment 96 is badly eroded; the other two fragments are well preserved.
SHAPE Portions of a panel carved in medium relief, with sides slightly beveled.
CARVED AREAS Front only.
PHOTOGRAPHS Central portion, Mathews; flanking pieces, Graham.
DRAWING Graham, based on photos and field drawings.
