LOCATION The two fitting fragments of Monument 76 were found by the French Archaeological Mission in 1973 in rubble between the retaining wall of the sixth terrace and the west platform of Structure E5-11. They are now preserved in the Tonina Museum.
CONDITION Found broken in two and since joined with epoxy. The carved surface remains in good condition.
MATERIAL Yellow sandstone.
SHAPE Portions of a disc with incurving edge.
CARVED AREAS Upper surface only.

REMARKS Fragment 16 is likely to have formed part of this altar, as is Fragment 38, though with less certainty.
