The Peabody Museum houses more than 1.2 million individual objects, 500,000 photographic images, and substantial archival records. Collections are strongest in the cultures of North, Central, and South America, and the Oceania (Pacific Islands). The Museum is also caretaker to important collections from Africa, Europe, and Asia.
