Watch the webinar.

The Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology at Harvard University presents a free webinar, a live seminar/discussion hosted on the web, featuring award-winning Australian photographer Stephen Dupont on "Photographic Moments: Past, Present, and Future in Papua New Guinea" Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 9:00-10:00 am EDT.

Join Stephen Dupont in a lively discussion of his latest book and exhibition documenting social change in Papua New Guinea, Stephen Dupont: Papua New Guinea Portraits and Diaries now on view at the Peabody Museum through September 2, 2013.

View images, listen to an informal interview by a curator, add your own comments, and explore the history of photography expeditions in New Guinea. The conversation will build on your ideas and questions. Hosted by Museum Curator of Visual Anthropology Ilisa Barbash.

How how does this webinar work?

All you need is a computer or tablet, an internet connection, and either speakers or headphones. You'll be able to see and hear the live discussion, and have the option to ask questions and join the discussion by typing in a live chat box, or by using the microphone and/or webcam built into your computer or tablet. A separate headset and microphone are preferred, though not required.

The webinar will be conducted in an AdobeConnect virtual classroom space. AdobeConnect runs through Flash and does not require purchase or download of any further software. Before a session, test your internet connection and version of Flash for compatability with AdobeConnect at this diagnostic link.

The one-hour webinar includes time to introduce participants, a presentation by the speakers, and time for open questions and discussion. It will be recorded and made available on the web after the program is complete.
