Zooarchaeology Laboratory Open House

Touching animal bones is encourages at the annual Zooarchaeology Laboratory Open House.Enjoy a behind-the-scenes visit to a major museum lab that helps archaeologists identify the animal bones found in their excavations. Are the bones from an ancient human occupation site or last year’s picnic? Researchers will demonstrate techniques using skeletons of modern animals. This is a favorite archaeology event for school-age children and homeschoolers.
