Directions for exporting data into Microsoft Excel
(from an entire table or selected pages using Adobe Acrobat and Excel versions Mac 2008 and Windows 2007 or later):
Method: Extracting pages from PDF, saving as HTML file, and importing into Excel.
- Open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.
- Extract pages with tables: Document >>Extract pages.
- Save extracted PDF file as HTML: File>>Save As.
Format: Select HTML (version 4.01 with CSS 1.0 produces better formatting).
Click Save. - Open Microsoft Excel.
- Depending on the platform and version of Excel, either:
Open HTML file
OR
Import HTML file
File>>Import
Click HTML button
Click Import
Select HTML file from location and click Open - Save as Excel file.
